Over 25 years of clinical experience, a passion for solving complex problems and a commitment to helping people move, feel and perform at their best.

Cliff Butler is an experienced osteopath and the founder and director of Williamstown Health + Lifestyle and Melbourne Headache + Concussion Group.

With more than two decades of clinical experience, Cliff has developed a reputation for his thorough assessment, clinical curiosity and ability to navigate complex and persistent conditions.

While his osteopathic practice encompasses everyday neck and back pain, pelvic and sacroiliac dysfunction, and sports injuries, Cliff has a particular passion for headache, migraine, concussion and complex injury rehabilitation.

Headache & Concussion Expertise

Cliff has undertaken extensive postgraduate professional development in headache and concussion management, including training in the Watson Headache Approach.

Through Melbourne Headache + Concussion Group, he works extensively with patients experiencing persistent headaches, migraines, concussion and ongoing post-concussion symptoms.

His approach combines detailed clinical assessment, hands-on treatment and individualised rehabilitation, addressing factors such as cervical spine dysfunction, dizziness, balance disturbances, visual difficulties and exercise intolerance.

Beyond the Clinic

Cliff is passionate about improving concussion awareness and management in community sport. He works with sporting clubs and organisations to deliver concussion education, baseline testing, rehabilitation and structured return-to-sport guidance.

He also shares his knowledge through professional education, presentations and The Knock-On Effect podcast, helping bridge the gap between emerging research and everyday clinical practice.
