Alyssa Petronio
Bachelor of Health Science / Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy)
If Alyssa looks familiar, you may have met her at the Williamstown Health + Lifestyle front desk. What you might not know is that she has also spent the past three years practising as a qualified osteopath and treating patients across Melbourne.
Alongside her role at WHL, Alyssa works at Middle Park Osteopathic Clinic, where she has worked alongside experienced osteopath Damien Guengerich, a former President of Osteopathy Australia with an extensive professional background in sports-related care.
Alyssa’s passion for osteopathy grew from her own experiences in athletics, acrobatics and netball. Having experienced sporting injuries herself, she understands how frustrating it can be when pain affects work, training and the activities people enjoy.
Her clinical interests include sporting injuries, everyday muscle and joint pain, hypermobility-related discomfort, neck and jaw concerns, and headaches where musculoskeletal factors may contribute.
Alyssa believes in taking the time to understand each patient’s individual presentation, lifestyle and goals. Her approach combines careful assessment, hands-on osteopathic treatment, education and rehabilitation strategies where appropriate.
Outside the clinic, Alyssa enjoys staying active, drawing and painting, exploring local markets and spending time with her pets, friends and family.
Whether you’ve known Alyssa for years or you’re meeting her for the first time, she looks forward to welcoming you into the treatment room at WHL.
